ENS@T is the acronym for European Network for the Study of Adrenal Tumors. This network was founded in 2002 by putting together three already existing National Adrenal Networks (Comete in France, GANIMED in Germany, and NISGAT in Italy) and teams from the United Kingdom all dedicated to the study of adrenal tumors.

ENS@T aims to improve the understanding of the genetics, tumorigenesis and hypersecretion in patients with adrenal tumors and syndromes. It aims to improve the prediction of recurrences and the management of malignant tumors. The study of these tumors may reveal new molecular mechanisms of tumor growth and provide insight into the role of peptides and steroids in hypertension in general.

Adrenal tumors are diverse. They vary in frequency and presentation and may be inherited and/or aggressive. Most, however, are rare tumors, and therefore diagnostic and prognostic cohort studies, as well as therapeutic trials, require multi-country approaches to increase the number of patients for each tumor category. ENS@T endeavors to bring together critical masses of expertise and resources to achieve significant clinical and biological conclusions and to eventually combat adrenal tumors.
